In 2010, the Educational Foundation of America (EFA) Board of Directors redefined their grantmaking approach and long-term strategy of the Foundation. After carefully considering the funding history of the Foundation since 1959, each Director's areas of interest and our ever-changing world, the Senior Board of Directors have selected three distinct grant program areas that they wish to focus on at this time. These areas are: Arts & Education, the Environment and Sustainable Population.

Moving forward, we will not be accepting any unsolicited Letters of Inquiry, and have adopted a policy of pursuing proposals for interest areas "by invitation only."
